Option 1: Cork City, Blarney Castle & Kinsale

Tour Highlights:

You’ll be whisked away from your ship to the iconic Blarney Castle, where, if you’re feeling adventurous, you can kiss the Blarney Stone—believed to bestow the gift of eloquent speech!

**#Fun Fact:** When Queen Elizabeth I tried to persuade King Cormac McCarthy (the same McCarthy from *Braveheart*) to part with his beloved castle, he kept making excuses, prompting her to declare he was “talking a load of Blarney.” The castle is nestled by a beautiful lake and surrounded by stunning gardens. Don’t forget to stop by Blarney Woollen Mills, the world’s largest Irish souvenir shop!

Next, we head to Cork City, known as “the real capital” by locals. Spread across several hills, Cork is rich in history and has transformed into a vibrant, cosmopolitan city. It boasts the second-deepest natural harbor of any city, second only to Sydney. Stroll through the famous English Market, a Victorian-era working market with stalls that have been family-run for generations. Take in the sound of the bells ringing from St. Finbarr’s Cathedral, named after the city’s founder, featuring a stunning golden angel.

Our next stop is Kinsale, often dubbed Ireland’s gourmet capital. We’ll arrive via Charles Fort, a star-shaped fort that played a key role in defending the coastline during the Spanish Armada of 1601. From here, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views over the town and sea—an ideal photo opportunity! The Old Head of Kinsale is home to one of the world’s most renowned golf courses, a favorite of many former U.S. presidents. It’s the perfect spot for a delicious lunch and perhaps a pint or two.

You’ll return to your ship with unforgettable memories, great photos, and plenty of smiles!

Option 2: Cork, Kinsale & Jameson Distillery

Tour Highlights

From Cobh or Ringaskiddy cruise terminals, we’ll begin with a panoramic tour of Cork, Ireland’s second-largest city, famous for its impressive cathedrals and vibrant open markets, including the renowned English Market, which was recently visited by Queen Elizabeth. Afterward, we’ll head to the charming coastal town of Kinsale, known as the “gourmet capital of Ireland,” for a leisurely lunch. Kinsale, with its colorful marina, is the starting point of the Wild Atlantic Way and offers delightful, winding streets lined with shops, pubs, restaurants, and cozy cafes—perfect for watching the world go by.

We’ll also visit Charles Fort, a star-shaped fortress full of history, offering spectacular views over Kinsale—an ideal photo opportunity! Next, we’ll journey to Midleton to visit the famous Jameson Distillery. Explore the scenic grounds before your tour, and immerse yourself in the fascinating heritage of Jameson whiskey. Learn about the distillation, aging, and blending process, and finish your visit on a high note with a complimentary whiskey tasting.

After a truly memorable day, we’ll return you to the port that evening.
