What is the cost of a day tour?
All tours are fully customized, and prices vary based on factors such as group size, itinerary, and special requirements. Get in touch today, and we’ll provide you with a quick and accurate quote.
Is there a cost to prepare an itinerary?
No, there is no cost involved until you are fully satisfied with the itinerary and ready to secure your dates. There is no obligation to book a tour, and all inquiries are completely free of charge.
What is the payment schedule for a tour?
All tours require a deposit to secure your booking. Single-day tours, including cruise excursions, are fully refundable for any reason up to 30 days before the tour begins. For single-day tours, the final balance is due one week before the scheduled tour date. For multi-day tours and golf packages, an interim payment is required 60 days before the tour, with the final balance due 30 days prior. The deposit is refundable up to 60 days before the tour starts, minus a 10% administration fee. **For full details of our cancellation policy, please refer to our terms and conditions.**
If we are in Ireland for two weeks and want to do several day tours must they all be booked consecutively?
No, subject to availability you can book the dates that suit you best.
What is included in the cost of a private day tour?
A fully bespoke itinerary tailored to your group’s interests, including vehicle hire with driver/guide, all tolls, taxes, and fuel charges. Entry fees, where applicable, are paid locally. If you need assistance during the tour, such as arranging restaurant reservations or booking activities, we are more than happy to help. We can make any reservations or recommendations you require to enhance your experience.
Is driver/guide gratuity included in the tour price?
This is a gift of choice and entirely at your discretion. Regarding ‘natural breaks’ on a day tour, since you’ve booked a private tour, we can make as many stops as you need. Tours typically last 8-9 hours, but we can adjust the schedule to suit your preferences.
We will have luggage with us, can the vehicle accommodate same?
We assign vehicles based on your group size. For two travelers, a Mercedes E-Class will be used, and for four travelers, a Mercedes Viano will be provided. Each vehicle offers ample luggage space, with room for one suitcase and a piece of hand luggage per person.
What currency is used in Ireland?
In Southern Ireland, you’ll need Euros, while in the North, Sterling is required.
**Do you arrange accommodation?**
We offer two options: You can either arrange vehicle hire with a private driver/guide, and make your own accommodation bookings, or you can upgrade to our **Complete Concierge Package Service**. This service allows you to add as many extras as you’d like, with the cost based on the specific inclusions you choose.
Where do multiday tours commence and end?
All multi-day tours can begin wherever is most convenient for you, and we’ll incorporate this into the itinerary. We often start tours from the airport, but if you’d prefer to relax at your hotel for a day or two before starting, we can pick you up directly from there. It’s all about convenience, and this flexibility is one of the key advantages of booking a private tour.
Where do single day tours commence from?
We are based in Munster, Southern Ireland, so all single-day tours begin from this region. Whether you’re staying in Cork, Kerry, or Limerick, we’ll pick you up from your accommodation and return you there at the end of the day.
Are meals included in tour price?
No, meals are not included, but your driver/guide will gladly recommend restaurants and other dining options to suit your preferences. We are also happy to make reservations on your behalf if needed.
Are driver/guides local?
Yes, they are all local, born and bred!
Do you have your own vehicles or are they contracted?
All our vehicles are our own and our driver/guides are all professionally trained.
Do I need to arrange travel insurance?
Yes, travel insurance is not included in any of our tours. We highly recommend arranging comprehensive insurance before you travel to cover all potential eventualities.
What happens if my cruise ship does not dock?
Should a cruise ship not dock for any reason we will fully reimburse all monies paid to us in advance of the tour.
What happens if a cruise ship docks late at the port?
Cruise excursions typically begin at 8am. However, if your ship arrives late, your driver will be there waiting for you as soon as you disembark. We closely monitor ship arrival times to ensure you can relax and enjoy your tour without worry. We’ll make sure you visit all the key sites and always strive to maximize your experience.
What is the cost of a cruise excursion?
If you provide us with your tour date and the number of people in your group, we will respond promptly with a quote. Please note that prices may vary based on seasonal changes and group size.
Payment regarding large groups/cruise excursions?
We exclusively operate private tours. If you’d like to arrange a group for a cruise excursion and secure a larger vehicle, we will liaise only with the lead passenger or organizer. We cannot accept individual payments, and the booking will be the sole responsibility of the lead passenger/organizer.
Are entrance fees included in tour price?
No, the entrance fees are not included in the cost of our tours but these can easily be paid for on site on the day of your tour. Alternatively, for multi-day tours where you will be visiting numerous sites we recommend you consider purchasing a ‘Heritage Card’, go to www.heritageireland.ie for full details of same. If you wish to upgrade to our ‘Complete Concierge Package Service’ we can then include entrance fees for your convenience. NB: Some entrance fees are included in our small group tour packages, please check ‘what’s included’ for all relevant information.
What is the weather like in Ireland?
Irish weather is generally mild, and if you wear layers, comfortable shoes, and a rain jacket, you’ll be well-prepared for any weather conditions that may arise!
